Tralee is the capital town of County Kerry; it lies on the south west coast of Ireland, nestled in a valley, gently sloping westwards to the sea, between the Sliabh Mish and Stacks Mountains. It takes its name from the River Lee, in Irish Trá Lí (strand of the River Lee), which flows just south of the town into Tralee Bay.
